Recipe: Whiskey Sour
Oh shit! I’m actually posting something new on this blog.

This is a drink that kept getting recommended to me by a certain macabre individual *cough* Miranda *cough*
Anyway.
2-3oz whiskey
2tbsp lemon juice
1tsp extra fine or powdered sugar
Mix. If desired add 3-4 cubes ice, a maraschino cherry, and/or an orange slice in a glass.
Drink. Enjoy. Yum!
Damn. I should have taken a picture of my breakfast.
That shit was amazing!
Here’s someone else’s photos instead.

Skillet made toast with apricot jam, PGTips…

…fresh cut strawberries, and plain cream.
I don’t care that I had to use a bunch of butter for the toast. It was delicious!
I don’t care that I went to the store yesterday for ice cream and walked away with strawberries and heavy whipping cream instead. It was also delicious!
Maybe I’ll make an Irish Coffee tonight…

6. Still Pomegranate and Blackberry smoothie…or coconut and pineapple…or…fruit.
26. Fav cartoon growing up: Still Wild Thorneberries, although I was also a big Rocket Power fan too.
40. Horror and Thriller movies: Yes and Yes. That doesn’t mean slasher movies though. If it’s going to be a scary movie, I’d better be properly scared.
Ian, ask me more because 2 of these don’t count. Do it!!!!!! Also, hi! =D
I want this kettle. Surrounded by natural light, dark woods, and in my kitchen.

Real Peanut Butter Cookies
Hey look! It’s a new recipe! =D
Rich, crumbly, natural, and very very peanutty.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter @ room temp (unsalted preferably)
1 cup natural unsalted peanut butter, chunky or smooth, well stirred (get the kind without added sugar, and has the peanut oil on top, needing to be mixed. Also chunky=amazing)
1.5 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 large egg + 1 egg yolk, beaten
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups sifted all purpose flour (I eye-balled the sifting thing)

Method:
Preheat the over to 350F, and lightly grease to baking sheets.
Cream the butter well in a large bowl.Add the peanut butter, and mix until smooth. Next add the sugar. Again, cream the mixture well. Whip the egg, the yolk, vanilla, and salt into the same large bowl until smooth. ”Sift” the flour, add it to the bowl, and mix everything together just until the dough is uniform and smooth.
Form the dough into 1” balls, and place them an inch apart on the baking sheets. Press each ball down with a flour-dipped fork, crisscrossing in 2 directions to form a grid pattern. They should be approximately 1/2” thick now.
Bake the cookies for around 10-12 minutes, or until the top is lightly brown, the bottom golden brown, and the cookies are slightly puffed. Let the cookies rest for a moment on the baking sheet out of the over before transferring them to a plate and letting everyone ENJOY!
I wouldn’t have expected this, but peanut butter cookies are quite good with a simple whiskey drink…like a whiskey double, straight up. Whiskey on the rocks would be good too.
This belongs in my kitchen.

Subtle, very subtle. That piano is just sitting there, in the background, wanting to be played.
